Mo was both lovely and helpful!! I decided to get her help as I wanted to feel more confident with my breastfeeding, learn some new and more comfortable positions, and also get advice and support on the pumping I am doing and my husband’s nightly bottle feed. She was kind, non-judgemental, and offered very useful and practical advice. We practiced first the poses I was already comfortable with, improving my own and my baby’s positioning; then learned two new positions that I’ve used many times since! She also helped me find the right time of day to pump and gave my husband and me some great bottle feeding tips. I’d definitely recommend working with Mo!

I came across Mo online and saw that she was highly recommended by others who had struggled with breastfeeding. I booked an appointment due to my concerns about poor milk transfer/low supply. Even before we met, she sent out some recommendations to tide me over in the two weeks between booking and the actual appointment, which was helpful. I met with her when my son was exactly four weeks ago. I was struck by how warm Mo was and she immediately put me at ease.
Her approach was encouraging but also pragmatic – she understood that with an older son and no family support, beyond my husband who is now back to work, I needed to adapt triple feeding to make it feasible for my family. It was so helpful to be able to meet in my own home and get advice on positioning using my own furniture. I appreciated the hands on support with latching to make sure feeding is comfortable for both me and baby. She also showed me and my husband some positions for paced feeding. The appointment felt thorough and it was handy to get a detailed summary by email later that day, as a reminder of all what we had discussed.
Prior to the appointment, I felt like a failure as I was struggling so much with breastfeeding but after speaking with Mo, I felt reassured and more hopeful. She reminded me that breastfeeding is a skill that both me and my baby are working on, and hopefully with her tips it will become easier.

A really supportive appointment. I appreciated her kindness and attention to detail and I feel a lot more confident feeding now. Non-judgemental and evidence based care. Highly recommended!

Mo was fantastic. Our only regret is that we didn’t reach out to her sooner. She was by a country mile the most helpful input we had throughout the whole pregnancy, birth and early postpartum journey. I would recommend her in a heartbeat.
I had been really struggling with nipple pain, exhausted by the marathon feeding sessions, and also confused about how much to feed our four-week-old baby — to the point where feeding the baby had become more stressful than my labour. Mo fit us in at very short notice and was so generous with her time and patient in her explanations and demonstrations. We had been given so much conflicting breastfeeding advice that it was an enormous relief to get coherent, evidence-based, clearly articulated explanation about what was going on.
For us, it turns out we were overfeeding the baby and the pumps were making the nipple pain worse, not better! Without Mo I think I would have struggled on painfully for a few more weeks, then given up breastfeeding early. Instead, within a week, my pain had subsided and I was comfortably exclusively nursing – with new positions and proper information to make me calm and confident. Mo has also been very responsive via email following the consultation. What a superstar. Thank you, Mo.

As a first time mum, who experienced some birth/post birth complications, my journey into breastfeeding wasn’t as smooth as I had imagined it would be. There was little support available, the guidance I was receiving was often contradictory, my daughter wasn’t feeding enough and I ended up with mastitis quite soon after birth. On the recommendation of another mum, I reached out to Mo for support.
The session with Mo was really helpful, full of practical approaches and tips that I could apply to my breastfeeding to make the process smoother and more enjoyable for both me and my baby. I felt very safe and comfortable with Mo, she really put me at ease and acknowledged all the things I was already doing well which was very reassuring for an anxious first time mum. She also pointed out things that were individual to my breastfeeding which hadn’t been noticed/mentioned by anyone else e.g. that I had a fast flow and oversupply and how to help manage it. Chatting through all this with her, building my knowledge base and practicing different positions really helped my confidence and improved our latch which has been a game changer in the long run.
I’ve now been exclusively breastfeeding for 8 weeks and we’re in a much more enjoyable and less painful situation than before our session with Mo. Would thoroughly recommend getting in touch with her if you’re having any challenges yourself. The difference one session can make is transformational.

My session with Mo was key in my feeding journey and I can honestly say I don’t think I would still be breast feeding today at 13 weeks had I not taken her advice.
I had issues with undersupply and a lack of confidence following recovery from my emergency c-section, and her advice and kindness gave me the information I needed to stick with it. She was knowledgeable, supportive and so easy to speak too. I would not hesitate to recommend her services.

Mo is a hero. My baby was born in March, I saw Mo in April. It’s now the end of July and I’m still exclusively breastfeeding with no pain and no complications.
I assumed it would be easy and was shocked to quickly develop deep cracks. I’d been trying to ignore the pain but I wish I’d called Mo earlier! She sent me to the doctors that same afternoon; I got antibiotics and healed within a fortnight.
I had a heavy supply and flow; Mo helped me with positions that wouldn’t overwhelm my daughter. We still use these. Mo taught me how to feed side lying; I still do this every night as it has transformed our family’s sleep for the better.
On the day, Mo put me at ease immediately – she has such a calm, professional manner and clearly knows her stuff. In the weeks afterwards Mo continued to provide support – for example she helped me choose probiotics to counter the antibiotics.
I cannot recommend her highly enough. If you’re in Edinburgh and breastfeeding isn’t going as you hoped – call Mo before you give up!

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Mo during both of my breastfeeding journeys—first in 2023 and again more recently this month. Mo is incredibly knowledgeable, calm, patient, and friendly. Her advice is truly invaluable. She takes the time to really understand your challenges, explains everything clearly, and only then starts exploring solutions with you.
The ongoing email support is also such a great reassurance. As things changed for me, Mo was right there to help, creating a tailored plan to help me build up my milk supply and reduce bottle feeds. I honestly cannot thank her enough for the support she’s given me. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone needing breastfeeding guidance!

I had two visits from Mo and I wouldn’t have achieved my goal of exclusive breastfeeding without her help!
On the first visit, Mo was thorough in understanding our situation, that my baby was not gaining weight. She helped with latch and feeding positions and advised on expressing and pumps and generally gave me the advice and explanations I had not been given by previous health care staff.
After 4 weeks of triple feeding I was becoming tired and unable to see the progress we were making. I was still very worried about my baby’s feeding knowing that this situation of breastfeeding, topping up and then expressing at each feed, was unsustainable, so I arranged another visit from Mo. She immediately recognised that I was now expressing enough to only give breast milk to my baby which showed my milk supply was substantial for my baby’s needs. She recognised that infact my baby was doing well and gaining weight now from only breast milk and actually it was me that needed some attention! She advised me to reduce pumping and find ways to rest and relax more. We tried out new reclined feeding positions and discussed ways to relax while pumping/breastfeeding which made a huge difference both mentally and physically.
The ongoing email support from Mo was also invaluable, as things changed and questions arose following the visit I was able to keep in touch and benefit from her expertise.
I highly recommend Mo if you are having trouble breastfeeding she is very experienced and professional yet also so kind and caring. I just wish I had contacted her earlier in my feeding struggles, so don’t hesitate if you’re thinking about getting help!!!

Mo offered fantastic support and advice. She was very professional and really took time to understand my concerns. Mo offered practical advice and guidance on attachment and latching; I was able to try these in the comfort of my own home. This has been a great confidence boost when feeding. The follow-up report was really useful for reference and further reading. Thank you!

We live in the Scottish Borders and are very grateful that Mo was happy to travel to us to optimise breastfeeding for our twin boys.
We found Mo incredibly friendly, supportive and approachable. Within minutes of her arrival, I understood how to form a good latch better and implementing this advice has made breastfeeding more comfortable.
I had specific concerns regarding being able to breastfeed both our babies independently when my husband returns to work, and Mo took time to address this. Another particularly valuable aspect of our consultation was to explore different feeding positions.
Mo was incredibly patient, took the time to answer all of our questions and certainly went the extra mile; both babies were unsettled as she planned to leave and, rather than leave us with them, took time to ensure we were all well set up for a good feed.
Catherine (March 2025)
We arranged to meet Mo after a difficult start to breastfeeding including admission to hospital for feeding support. She spent 2 hours with us at our home, listening to our concerns and offering advice in a kind and non-judgemental way. She offered options with regards to positioning, supplementing with expressed milk and using the bottle. She then sent on a detailed report and links to research for further information. I would highly recommend if you are looking for support with breastfeeding or wishing to build your confidence.

I recently had a consultation with Mo as I was struggling with finding a comfortable position for breastfeeding my 3.5 week old baby boy. I was also concerned about my latch and whether some tummy issues were due to poor attachment.
Mo was warm and reassuring in her approach and helped me find comfortable positions that worked for myself and my baby. We also discussed possible causes for the tummy issues and Mo helped signpost me to resources to help with this. We are both getting more sleep now and baby seems happier with feeding so feel the consultation was worthwhile in providing some valuable guidance at a challenging time. Thanks very much Mo!

Mo is nothing short of a fairy godmother! As a third-time mum, I was completely caught off guard by the feeding challenges I faced with my youngest daughter, especially after having no issues with my first two.
Mo arrived like a calm, reassuring presence and, within just a few hours, transformed our entire feeding experience with a few simple but effective adjustments to positioning and technique. Her expertise, warmth, and genuine care made all the difference. She even made sure my daughter and I were comfortably tucked in for a much-needed nap before she left!
I can’t recommend her highly enough to anyone struggling with breastfeeding—she is truly a lifesaver!
Slaine (Feb 2025)
Mo’s approach is sensitive and holistic and she gently empowers you on your feeding journey. Both times I saw Mo I felt a huge increase in confidence about breastfeeding. I felt more informed about areas I could make manageable changes, but also encouraged and validated about what I was already doing. I couldn’t recommend seeing Mo more and have recommended her to everyone I know with a young baby.

I reached out to Mo via the charity Breastfeeding Twins and Triplets UK. I have twin girls who were six weeks premature, spent sixteen days in special care and had an inconsistent breastfeeding journey. I felt I needed in-person support from an experienced IBCLC to even continue our journey. It was just a bonus that Mo is also a twin mum!
Mo visited when our girls were 4.5 weeks old, and I was already exhausted and overwhelmed with information and strategies. She stayed at our house for several hours. We spoke about me, the girls and Mo observed them both feed. She gave me practical tips regarding latching, compressions, positions and expressing. I even learned that my current flange was 8mm too big. We agreed some strategies going forward to prioritise, and neither were overwhelming that they felt unachievable.
When Mo left I felt so uplifted and positive that our journey could continue. Mo then stayed in touch via email and expressed a genuine interest in me and our girls. She was there not only from a practical perspective but also emotionally. I was able to reach out to Mo many times when I was emotionally struggling, and she always picked me back up.
I can honestly say that without the practical and emotional support from Mo, I don’t think I would have continued feeding. I was so exhausted and struggling that I desperately needed someone to get us out. Mo was our person! Our premature, 4lb babies are now over 7 and 8lb. Our not-so-little Halle and Riley have truly benefited from this journey.

I contacted Mo after my son dropped down across two centiles lines at his 12 week check. Mo was fantastic at quickly identifying what the issues were – mainly he wasn’t transferring milk effectively. Although he was latching on well, we couldn’t hear him take active swallows of milk. My son had been incredibly fussy at the breast since birth and has reflux. He was always a tricky baby to feed – it’s not been the sit, cuddle/relax and feed situation I had to with my first child – it was hard work getting any milk into him. He also wasn’t taking keen to take a bottle.
Mo came up with a plan to get more milk into my wee one through using a supplementary nursing system (SNS) while building my supply back up through pumping. Mo set me up with the new SNS and stayed with me until I was feeling confident with the using it and was on hand for the next few weeks online to support my various questions. I also received tons of information through email.
I thought I’d be house bound with the SNS but I’ve managed doing it on trains, planes and buses!! It is a faff in the beginning but once you get into the swing of things it can come everywhere. I would definitely recommend Mo and paying for this service. The 1:1 support currently through the public system is pretty much non-existent and some of the support feels out of date too. I’m delighted that I’m still breastfeeding at 5 months old- having many times thought it would be the end of it. Baby is putting on weight and things are so much more relaxed at the boob.
Hoping to wean off the SNS and top ups once we start to wean onto solids! I’m hopeful we’ve got ourselves through his rough patch and we can continue our breastfeeding journey a bit longer like I’d hoped!

Throughout my pregnancy I was determined that I really wanted to breast feed. My partner and I attended additional antenatal classes and I also signed up for a local breastfeeding support group. I did not expect to find breastfeeding so difficult when my little boy was born. There were a number of things making it more challenging; a tongue tie and the recovery after my c-section. I found the whole experience of trying to breast feed very upsetting.
I had a session with Mo the day after my little boy had his tongue tie released. Whilst the release hadmade things a little easier I felt I had got into some bad habits prior to this and was continuing to have difficulties. My little boy had also lost more weight which was concerning. Mo was so knowledgeable and was able to explain everything to me so clearly, giving examples e.g. visuals and demonstrations that really helped me understand things better. I had had countless people try to help me with positioning and attachment but the way that Mo explained things and the way she supported me whilst I was trying really helped me to understand what I was doing but also feel relaxed at the same time. The session allowed me to go from being able to breastfeed lying down (although inconsistently) to feeling more comfortable in this position and also able to comfortably use another two positions.
I spent the rest of the day practising what Mo had shown me and couldn’t believe the difference. Everything was much more comfortable, I wasn’t experiencing pain whilst feeding and I was actually enjoying it! I felt so confident that we even popped out for lunch the following day and I was able to feed my little boy whilst out which I hadn’t felt able to do previously. Unfortunately I picked up a sickness bug and was unwell the following day. However, I was able to continue breastfeeding throughout – something I know would not have been possible had I not had Mo’s support
prior to this.
We had another weigh in for my little boy 6 days later and he had put on 9oz which I was delighted with. Anyoneconsidering booking a session with Mo shouldn’t think twice. I am so glad I did.

I got in touch with Mo on the recommendation of several people. We had experienced so much difficulty with breastfeeding (tongue tie, blocked ducts, and mastitis), and I was desperate for help.
Mo responded quickly and spent three full hours with us. We went over my baby’s breastfeeding ourney and the difficulties we had faced. She answered so many of my questions, and her practical advice was invaluable—such as proper latching, feeding positions, and hand compression techniques.
The report Mo provided was clear and practical, and after following her suggestions, my baby’s weight gain was back on track within two weeks. We can’t thank her enough for her help. I strongly recommend Mo to all breastfeeding mothers.
Andrea (Sept 2024)

Having suffered with low milk supply with my first daughter in February 2022 and going through a difficult journey with it, Mo was absolutely key in helping me to achieve my goal of exclusively breastfeeding her – totally worth every penny and so much more, I couldn’t have done it without her.
So when my second daughter was born four weeks ago and again, I had low supply (although not nearly as bad as the first time round), I didn’t hesitate in calling Mo again, and again, she’s been invaluable in helping me on my journey.
Luckily, with my knowledge from first time round and with more help from Mo, this time is much easier and I’m already relaxing away from the feeding plan which is an absolute dream. If anyone is thinking of calling Mo to help with their breastfeeding journey, do not hesitate, you won’t regret it!
Amy (July 2024)

Mo was an absolute saviour for me and our little boy Cameron.
At 5 days old Cammy was losing weight and struggling to feed, I was experiencing issues with my supply including a delay to my milk coming in. As a first time mum I was totally lost and was becoming incredibly anxious receiving conflicting, unhelpful advice from friends, family and health professionals.
Mo’s initial visit saved me, she was kind, professional and so knowledgeable. Her face to face visit was excellent value for money as she spent dedicated time with me and my baby understanding my full health history and got to the root of our feeding problems.
Fast forward 5 weeks and we’re now off our personalised feeding plan and exclusively breastfeeding! Cammy and myself are thriving thanks to Mo and I can now relax and enjoy motherhood! Her follow up visit was also invaluable. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough!
Andrea (July 2024)
I had the pleasure of meeting Mo, who greatly helped me manage my breastfeeding better. She took the time to explain each step in detail, making the information clear and easy to understand.
Mo provided me with a tailored plan to follow in order to raise my milk supply, and her guidance was invaluable. Thanks to her insightful advice and support, I was able to become more confident in my role as a breastfeeding mother.
I highly recommend Mo to all mothers seeking support and advice for their breastfeeding journey.
